NUR 326 Clinical Nursing Concepts II

DESCRIPTION FALL 2024:
This is the second of four courses with an emphasis on care of individuals and families. Key content includes health promotion and disease prevention across the lifespan. Key concepts include holistic care, nutrition, oxygenation, perfusion, reproduction, and sexuality. Clinical practice experiences provide opportunities to care for children, childbearing families, and adults.

REVISED DESCRIPTION SPRING/SUMMER 2025:
This is the second course in a four-part series focusing on the development of
clinical nursing concepts. Emphasis is placed on providing patient-centered care across the lifespan that includes maternal, pediatric and adult populations. Students will integrate specialized nursing skills, nutrition knowledge, and evidence-based strategies to promote safety, wellness, and disease prevention. Key concepts include holistic care, oxygenation, perfusion, reproduction, and sexuality. Clinical practice experiences provide opportunities to apply informatics, healthcare technologies, and communication techniques to support individuals and families in diverse healthcare settings.
