NUR 426 Clinical Nursing Concepts IV
DESCRIPTION FALL 2024:
This is the fourth and final course that addresses care of individuals and families with complex health needs. The course builds on concepts introduced in previous courses. Through integration of nursing concepts and the nursing process, students use clinical judgement to provide safe, effective care in high-acuity nursing environments. Students will also assimilate into the nursing role through a precepted clinical immersion experience.
REVISED DESCRIPTION SPRING/SUMMER 2025:
This fourth and final clinical concept course focuses on providing patient-centered care for individuals and families with complex health needs across all spheres of care. Building on prior coursework, students will apply evidence-based practice and use health care technologies to support clinical judgment in delivering safe, high-quality care. Emphasis is placed on interprofessional collaboration, managing care for multiple patients, and personal growth in professional nursing attributes. The course culminates in a precepted clinical immersion experience, enabling students to fully integrate into the nursing role.
