REL 101 Introduction to Theology and Mercy Values
This course serves as an introduction the values of Mercy College and the heritage of the Sisters of Bon Secours, Sisters of Charity of Montreal, and the Sisters of Mercy, with an emphasis on the latter. Students will also be introduced to core Christian beliefs and concepts such as the Incarnation, Christian anthropology, and the theological virtues (faith, hope, love). Students will engage these values, concepts, and histories through various theological genres - Scripture, hagiography, sermons, spiritual writing, devotional literature, etc.
